Breakthrough therapies result from brilliant minds working in environments thoughtfully designed to support every stage of scientific discovery. Recently, Kewaunee partnered with a leading life sciences organization to create a purpose built facility aligned with their research goals.
A Vision for Advanced Research
A research driven enterprise focused on biotherapeutics, biosimilars, oncology generics, clinical research, and regenerative medicine aimed to develop a space that supports evolving research needs while ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Kewaunee designed and built a 30000 plus square ft. facility across two floors, including custom laboratory furniture, fume hoods, and an integrated exhaust system. The entire design followed a clear process flow to enhance operational continuity and support scientific workflows.
Purpose Built Lab Environments
The facility was divided into specialized zones supporting key research stages, including
• Plasma Positive Culture and Bioburden Labs
• BET Biosimilar and Medical Preparation Labs
• Analytical, Wet, and Biochemical Labs
• Balance Rooms, Hot Rooms, and Incubator Labs
• GC and Instrumentation Labs
• Sample Receipt and Chemical Storage Areas
• Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Immunology Spaces
• Post Amplification, MLT, and Decontamination Areas
Each area was carefully designed to promote collaboration, ensure safety, and allow for future adaptability.
Empowering the Future of Science
This facility is more than just infrastructure. It is a foundation for discovery that aligns design with scientific purpose. Equipped for safety, efficiency, and flexibility, it supports the complex demands of modern life science research.
Behind the Build
With decades of experience, Kewaunee partners with research organizations to deliver laboratory environments tailored to operational needs and regulatory requirements, helping advance science through thoughtful infrastructure.
